Opis

The publication summarizes the 1st Central European Heritage Forum, which took place on 7–9 July 2011 in Kraków. This important event was organized by the International Cultural Centre in cooperation with partners from Prague, Bratislava, and Budapest, under the auspices of the Polish Presidency of the European Union.

Cultural heritage and its protection, as well as the concepts of memory and identity in the context of Central European experience, have been central areas of interest for the ICC since the institution was founded in 1991. In 2007, the Centre was awarded the prestigious Visegrad Cultural Prize and, by mandate of the V4 ministers of culture, serves as the coordinator of the cultural heritage working group.
