The 1958 British Hit Parade: The B Sides Part 1Opis:This collection is a companion edition to our 1958 British Hit Parade Part One (ACQCD7068) from the originators of the series Acrobat Music, the only source of the entire British Hit Parade series based on the UK record sales which were launched in 1952. It comprises the B sides of all the records which entered the Record Retailer, NME, Melody Maker, Record Mirror and Disc charts between January and June that year, excluding those tracks which charted as double A sides and were therefore included on the original set. It includes the tracks from Side 2 of the EPs which appeared in the singles chart, and it mirrors the order of the tracks on Part 1of the main collection which results in slight unevenness of CD length because of the Double A sides issue. The B sides of hits are highly collectable as many have never been released on CD, and as well as including some rare gems, it also provides a fascinating insight into an often ignored aspect of the business.
